36
SOUTH GOODMAN
|
|
 |
This late 19th century yellow brick and stucco
house with side entrance and garage is a fine example of a single
home conversion planned to preserve the historic look of this
singular property. Architectural
features abound. French doors on the first and second floors
with wrought-iron balcony, a pillared main entrance and rear roof
garden and patio—all in black—make for dramatic accents.
Inside,
two apartments, each with private entrances on the north side
of the house, feature fireplace, hardwood floors and crown
molding throughout. A tasteful addition to 36 South Goodman (plus
a small parking area) was built in the early 1950’s by
its previous owner, a dentist who used the rear portion of the
house as his office. Hanna Properties purchased the house
in 1980 and converted it into a two-family dwelling.
The
south side of the house became the Hanna Properties rental
office in July, 2000. Rents for apartments at 36 South Goodman
range from $795-$875 |

33-35
SOUTH GOODMAN |
|

|
Built in 1912 as apartments, and directly
across the street from Hanna Properties’ flagship building,
the Algonquin, is 33-35 South Goodman Street with its one-of-a-kind
units. This sprawling taupe and brown-trimmed Tudor-style
stucco house with rear turret and side balconies has eight
apartments on three floors. A 1,000 sq. ft. two-bedroom
apartment on the second floor served as the residence for the
property’s original owner.
Each unit offers these
unique features: high ceilings, large closets, built-in shelving
and more. Units on each side
of the house have private entrances with porches. Two
attic apartments feature living areas shaped by roof lines. Attic
apartments share a private roof garden. Laundry is available
across the street at the Algonquin.
Residents are encouraged
to take advantage of the fitness and business centers at
the Algonquin. Parking, including private garages, adjacent
to the building. Rents range from $565-$1000. |

26
SOUTH GOODMAN |
|

|
A 7,000 square foot Tudor-style brick
and mortar building, 26 South Goodman was built in 1910. It's
first floor offices were occupied by a pediatric medical
practice for more
than 25 years.
An arched stone doorway, stately
oak door and crawling
ivy along its front give this property
unique curb appeal. Subtly-variegated slate roof with copper
flashing adds texture and color.
A studio and one-bedroom
apartment plus an office are located on the second floor.
All have state-of-the-art kitchens and baths. A weelchair
ramp has been installed to accommodate first floor visitors.
